Starting a Blog….

By admin On July 24, 2011 Under Make Money Online Ideas

One of the most popular ways to make money online is blogging. It is easy and simple. and anyone with some writing ability can do it! If you like to write, if you have lots to say, if you’re extroverted, if you like to share or if you just plainly want to make a bit of money, you can do it!

Firstly, you need to choose a theme. What are you going to write about? What interests you? Cars? Sports? Your kids and their crazy antics? Childhood allergies? Cats? Food? The choices are endless, but it is best to choose something that is high interest for you so that you can write on the topic often and easily (and enjoyably).

One of the most simple ways to get started is to go to www.blogger.com. You can create your own blog: you choose the title and the design from a number of templates. And you get a site for free! Or you can go to www.squidoo.com and create a free “lens,” which is virtually the same thing as blogger. You can design it, it’s free and it’s simple. For those with a bit more Internet experience, you can go to www.godaddy.com, purchase a domain with the name you like, find a webhost, and then upload a WordPress blog onto your site (if you know what I’m talking about, then you can likely do it. If not, go with the easier examples ;) )

Once your blog is up, you can monetize it by adding Adwords. If you set up a blogger blog, they have a very simple procedure to add Adwords or other monetization. With adwords, you allow Google to put ads on your site, and if someone clicks on them, you get paid! It’s that simple! You can also add Amazon, but it is best if your site is set up for awhile first.

The next step is to get writing! Make it interesting for your readers and enjoy the process. Comment on other blogs or forums, leaving a link to your blog. Let friends and family know you have a blog, advertise it on your facebook page. The more readers you get, the more money you are likely to make from your monetization. Some blogs charge readers subscriptions to read them, but it is best to get your blog set up and get a good reputation first.

Have fun and good luck!!
