Here’s a few points to keep in mind when looking for a home based business:

By admin On November 24, 2011 No Comments

Avoid Hype -  There are a lot of people and programs out there that will promise you the moon.  You’ve seen them…”all you have to do is copy and  paste to make $100,000 per month!”  It’s crazy! Avoid any program that promises you instant success.

Take Action -  One of the main reasons people fail is they don’t take action.  Don’t be a “wantreprenuer”…the kind that wants to succeed, but won’t do the work necessary.  Be an entrepreneur… take action if you want to succeed!  Make a plan and work it…even if it’s only 10 minutes a day…make progress!

Start Up Costs - Nothing is free so do expect it to cost you money to start a business.  There are supplies, licenses and marketing you will have to invest in.  Now on the flip side there are plenty of work at home ideas that don’t cost you an arm and leg out there.  You can do alot for free…like create your own blog. (blogspot)

Do what you love – Have a passion for fitness then pick something to do with the health industry.  Don’t pick scooping dog poop out of customers yards unless you really enjoy dogs :-) just because there is a lot of money in it.  If you are not passionate about your home based business then it will fail.

Do it Part Time First - DO NOT QUIT YOUR DAY JOB!  If you

There are hundreds of options for creating your online business.  So how do you know which one is right for you?  How do you  wade through all of the choices and options that promise to make you rich?

Do something you enjoy!  What skills do you have? What are you good at and what do you like to do? What do you know a lot about?  Golf?  Kids? Relationships?  Pets?  Think about and make a list of your strengths and interests.

Are you a people person? Maybe blogging is for you.  Lots of people make very good money creating blogs based around their own interests and monetizing the site for extra money.

Do you like to write?  Try writing an e-book!  Even if you sell it for .99 you could make great money if it’s a topic people want to read about!  Or you could make money writing articles on sites like fivver.com.

Do you like to create something you don’t have to work on often?  Try creating an affiliate site to sell other people’s products. Once it’s set up, you simply need to do some link building to rank it and get people to your site.

Do you like a great deal?  Do you enjoy shopping?  Buying and selling? Try an online marketplace like ebay or ZipDandy.  Buy and sell your or other people’s items and make your money this way!

Starting a Blog….

By admin On July 24, 2011 No Comments

One of the most popular ways to make money online is blogging. It is easy and simple. and anyone with some writing ability can do it! If you like to write, if you have lots to say, if you’re extroverted, if you like to share or if you just plainly want to make a bit of money, you can do it!

Firstly, you need to choose a theme. What are you going to write about? What interests you? Cars? Sports? Your kids and their crazy antics? Childhood allergies? Cats? Food? The choices are endless, but it is best to choose something that is high interest for you so that you can write on the topic often and easily (and enjoyably).

One of the most simple ways to get started is to go to www.blogger.com. You can create your own blog: you choose the title and the design from a number of templates. And you get a site for free! Or you can go to www.squidoo.com and create a free “lens,” which is virtually the same thing as blogger. You can design it, it’s free and it’s simple. For those with a bit more Internet experience, you can go to www.godaddy.com, purchase a domain with the name you like, find a webhost, and then upload a WordPress blog onto your site (if you know what I’m talking about, then you can likely do it. If not, go with the easier

Starting an E-commerce Site

By admin On June 6, 2011 No Comments

What we’re going to cover here is how to help get an online retail business of some sort off the ground.
For instance, suppose you’d like to start an e-commerce site as a sort of virtual storefront. There are a few things you’ll need to take care of before you get started. First, you’ll need to decide what kinds of products you’d like to sell; on the web, it is a mistake to try to be all things to all people, at least when you’re getting started. You will do best by choosing one type of product or a fairly narrow range of products so that you can concentrate on a single consumer demographic. You can always branch out later, but as you begin, try to keep it focused.

Once you’ve decided what to sell, the next step is to get a domain name and web hosting. Your domain name should be easy to remember and if at all possible, reflect the kinds of products you sell. For example, if you’ve decided to sell tea kettles, then something like teakettleoutlet.com would be a good domain name. Just keep it as short and to the point as possible and you should do fine. There are a lot of different web hosting services out there and you will need to choose which service works best for you on your own; however, if you’re starting an ecommerce site, then it’s best to avoid free hosting services, since these don’t give as professional of an

One mistake to avoid…..

By admin On May 22, 2011 No Comments

The one mistake that you must avoid in order to run a successful e-commerce business is an unprofessional website and store. The website you create must be very professional and attractive. Be sure not to use a lot of loud designs, and also be sure to refrain from creating sites that are too plain and dull. The key is to strike a happy medium while still maintaining your site’s professionalism. It might be necessary to take a look at some of the other e-commerce sites in order to gain a legitimate perspective as to what a professional site should look like.  Try looking at the newest online marketplace, Zip Dandy for a well made site made by professional templates. Go to www.zipdandyinformation.com to learn more and get a free report on Zip Dandy!
